Features:
Handle Body: The first thing you'll notice about the Classic Controller is its shape, which is clearly heavily influenced by the SNES. The overall feel is very light, although it offers a slot on the back to attach a Wiimote, adding the ability to control motion in games with traditional controls, and to balance the weight of the handle to a regular grip. It's simple, elegant, and comfortable to hold in your hand.
D-Pad: A traditional controller cannot be without a D-pad, and unlike the GC controller, the Wii Classic Controller puts it in the middle. It looks, feels, and plays like the directional pad of a Wiimote.
Analog Joystick: To allow the Classic Controller to play N64 and GC games, Nintendo equipped it with dual analog sticks to approximate the layout of the PS3's shock sticks. There is also no C key here, as both analog sticks have a comfortable, springy feel.
Navigation Keys: Like the Wiimote, the Classic Controller has -, +, and Home buttons. The - and + keys are used for virtual platform game selection and start keys. The Home button allows players to return directly to the in-game UI, allowing players to access Wii channels and messages at any time.
Front Buttons: Continuing the SNES tradition again, the classic grip is equipped with 4 main interface buttons, which are shaped in a traditional diamond. The color of the keys is different from the SNES keys; the Y and X keys are white plastic, and the B and A keys resemble the Wiimote's main A key.
Shoulder Buttons: At the top of the grip are the L and R shoulder buttons. When simulating SNES and N64 usage, the shoulder buttons are comfortable and precise to press, just like the original SNES buttons. The keys and GCN are different, however, which makes it difficult to play some GC games. Keep your GC.
Z Key: To balance the grip, the traditional Z button is placed symmetrically inside the L and R shoulder buttons. The keys are round and small, similar to the C key on the Wii Nunchuk, which will be used in GC and N64 games as intended.
Connection Line: Using the Wii Remote's expansion slot, the Classic Controller will plug directly into it instead of the Wii console itself. The grip relies on the Wii Remote for power and wireless connection to the system.
