Installation
Always replace both lift supports to ensure top performance and to prevent twisting caused by an uneven load.

1.Disconnect: If the old lift support has an electrical connection from the window, carefully disconnect the fittings.
2. Before removing old lift supports, examine all hardware provided to determine which components need to be reused.
3. Have someone hold the hatch, hood, boot or rear window open while replacing lift supports.
4. Pry off the fasteners, remove 1 end while being ready to fight the pressure in the strut, move the end so it is away from the body, remove the other end, install that end of the new 1, fight the other end into place and tighten up.
5. Ensure all connectors and hardware are in place, tight and secure. Reconnect the electrical terminals to both ends of the gas lift support, if applicable for your car. Retain the plastic end caps, if applicable for your car.
